Robert reminded us of an important truth: God is still building His Kingdom—and He is still building us.
We are all under construction.
God’s purpose is not simply to make us more successful, comfortable, or even better versions of ourselves. His desire is to form us into the likeness of Jesus.
And that transformation does not happen simply because we try harder.
Jesus said, “Remain in me, as I also remain in you.” (John 15:4)
As we remain connected to Christ, the Holy Spirit works within us—shaping our hearts, correcting what has become misaligned, and increasingly making the character of Jesus visible through our lives.
That gives us a plumbline for the journey ahead.
Not culture.
Not popularity.
Not success.
The Cross of Christ.
As we begin our journey through KINGDOMS, we will read about kings, kingdoms, victories, failures, obedience, rebellion, and the faithfulness of God through it all.
But before we encounter those kings, may we remember our King.
Jesus is still building His Kingdom.
And thankfully, He is not finished with us yet.

This Week’s Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are my King.  Thank You that You are still at work in me. Keep me close to You and reveal the places where my life has become misaligned with Your heart.
Holy Spirit, continue Your transforming work within me. Shape my heart and character so that the life of Jesus is increasingly visible through me. Keep me from relying on my own effort. Teach me to remain in Christ, surrender to Your work, and trust what You are building—even when I cannot yet see the finished product.
May my life faithfully point others toward my King.
Lead me, and help me follow.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Weekly Challenge: Stay Connected

This week, resist the temptation to begin with, “What do I need to fix?”
Instead, begin with Jesus.
Each day, spend a few unhurried moments with Him and ask:
“Jesus, where are You at work in me?”
Then listen.
If the Holy Spirit reveals something that is out of alignment, don’t rush into self-improvement mode. Surrender it to Him. Trust Him to do the transforming work that only He can do.
Remember:
You are under construction.
Jesus is the plumbline.
The Holy Spirit is at work.
God is not finished with you yet.
