Holy Spirit Pivot: God Redirects, Reshapes & Leads

Yesterday we heard a simple but deeply personal invitation:
It is time to return home.
Returning to God isn’t about becoming more religious. It is about realigning our lives with His heart and His will.
We followed that invitation through three passages:
Joel: Return to God because of His character. He is merciful, compassionate, slow to anger, and filled with unfailing love.
Hosea: Return and be healed. God loves us too much to bless our independence and call it freedom.
Jesus: Come home to the Father. The prodigal returned expecting to be treated as a servant, but the Father received him as a son.
Our question for the week remains:
Where am I living independently of God?
Remember, you don’t have to leave the Father’s house to stop depending upon the Father.
The fruit our world needs will not be manufactured by Christians trying harder. It will be produced by Christians abiding deeper.
So this week:
Return to the Father.
Abide in the Son.
Be transformed by the Spirit.
Bear fruit for the world.
And let the Father receive the glory.

This Week’s Prayer
Father, thank You for always inviting me home. Reveal every place where I have drifted into depending upon myself instead of You. Give me a surrendered heart that trusts Your character, receives Your healing, and rests in Your love. Jesus, teach me to abide in You. Holy Spirit, transform me so my life produces fruit that reflects Christ to the world. I return to You today. Have Your way in me, for Your glory. Amen.

Weekly Challenge: Live Out Your Identity in Christ

Each morning this week, begin with one question:

“Where am I living independently of God?”

Don’t rush past it. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal one area—your plans, finances, relationships, family, work, ministry, attitude, future, or something else.

Then take one intentional step:

RETURN — Name the area and bring it honestly to God.

SURRENDER — Pray, “Father, not my will, but Yours.”

ABIDE — Spend a few quiet minutes with God before trying to fix or solve anything.

OBEY — If the Spirit reveals a step to take, take it.

At the end of the week, ask:

“What changed when I stopped trying to control this area and began depending upon God?”

Remember:

You don’t have to leave the Father’s house to stop depending upon the Father.

It’s time to come home.
